My search for the perfect hairstylist is finally over!  I have found Alberto Santos, the owner of Alberto Santos Salon in Carmichael, and what a gem he is.  I have been to so many hairstylists over the years, but usually leave unhappy and end up re-cutting my own hair when I get home because it's not what I asked for.  Then frustration sets in because I can't work with it.  One of the things I so appreciated was Alberto's willingness to listen -- really listen -- to what I struggle with when styling my hair and how I ultimately wanted it to look.  He went right to work and his expertise was apparent immediately.  He shared multiple tips to show me how to get the look I wanted.  He graciously extended an offer at no charge to have me bring all of my styling equipment and products back to the salon in order to show me how to get the look I had when I left his salon.  His salon is warm, cheerful and inviting, and Alberto is extremely professional, warm, funny and immediately puts you at ease.  My mom came with me to the appointment and she was so impressed by the great work he did (and with Alberto) that she called later and made an appointment for the following week.  She's beautiful to begin with, but when Alberto was done with her hair, she was even more beautiful and looked 10 years younger.  Without any reservation, I highly recommend Alberto Santos, and look forward to having him cut, style and (eventually) color my hair for many years to come.

Alberto used to own a salon here in the Dallas Texas area many years ago before he moved to California.  He cut and colored my hair for years here and he is absolutely the best colorist and stylist who has ever done my hair.  He did my hair for my wedding as well and I got sooo many compliments.  In the years since he moved to California I have looked and looked for someone who could even come close - but to no avail!  If you are lucky enough to live in the Carmichael area, you must do yourself the favor of having Alberto "do your do."  He is wonderful!

There are a couple of things I look for in a stylist and those include my hair looking just as good the next day and that it's easy to manage as it grows out... Alberto is exactly what you look for in a stylist - he's great with both color and cuts, he's professional but you feel like you've known him forever, and his salon is fantastic because you are the only one there!  He works alone (no stinky, noxious smells from tons of other stylists & their customers, and no god-awful music and multiple conversations around you!). He always takes plenty of time to figure out what look is best for you - routinely going on his laptop to go through photos with you and discuss pros and cons. I've never had anyone take that much time and interest in getting it right!

I have stick straight hair that most stylists find tough to work with.  No biggie for Alberto! I recommend him to everyone.  And, a  bonus - his prices are super reasonable.

It's officially been a year since my first review of Alberto Santos Salon. Still love love love it. After a year, Alberto is still the color perfectionist he was when I first went to him. He and I have found a great color that suits me and I have been going back for my pampering on a consistent basis. My hair always looks healthy, shinny and most importantly to me, natural. He really has a talent for color. You just can't go wrong. I've loved the color so much lately that I've focused on that more so than the length and now my hair is pretty long. I've been going to Alberto Santos for almost a year now and I am extremely happy with my new transformation each time I went. He has a very good eye on esthetic, awesome skill on hair coloring most especially, and he listens to what I want on the cut. I have had 4 different styles and each one them was amazing. It made me feel good about myself. My family and friends love it and strangers stopped and complimented on my hair quite frequently. Now if someone you don't know takes the time to tell you that they like your hair, then that's for real cuz they don't just say that to make you feel good, like perhaps your friends would. 1. Alberto is amazing! He not only is my regular hair stylist and colorist, but he also did an amazing up-do for my wedding! He is so creative and always makes great suggestions for me! I have been to so many different hair salons in Sacramento, not because I am fickle, but because every-time that I think that I have finally found someone that is good and understands my hair, my style, my desire and my moods, that person leaves, and then my quest for the next stylist ensues.  Such quests have led me through such 'hair raising' experiences (which I will leave for some other posts).

I did not usually trust my ploom to just anyone.  I used to drive by his place quite often, and one day my hair needed some TLC to attend a special occasion, I was desperate as my regular gal got tired of her boss and disappeared. My life partner suggested to give this place a shot. I was now really desperate and surprisingly he had an opening that afternoon. I was apprehensive but immediately Alberto's calm demeanor and focused conversation about my style, hair and requirements got me out of my nervous state. That night I got soooooo many complements, I was hooked. Alberto owns and operates himself, does a fabulous job every-time. My hair and my peace of mind have found a great home.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I live near Alberto Santos Salon and, over time, have seen people walking out of there looking nothing less than gorgeous! The cuts I have seen have been so contemporary, "edgy" & sexy! The colors have been extremely rich, lucious, eye-catching and shiny!  I called and made an appt. with Alberto and he was SO nice and accomodating! I have alopecia and my hair is just barely long enough (a couple inches!) to try a cut and color and get rid of the wig!  Alberto spent time talking to me to understand my situation and my hopes for my hair, then told me "I love a challenge"...and then he did his "magic"!  
I was so happy when I looked in the mirror that it actually brought tears to my eyes!  Even as impossibly short as it had to be, he was still able to "rock" my hair! The most amazing thing was the beautiful color he gave my dull, ashy brown hair! I do not think most Hairdressers would have even attempted to do the coloring! It is a fun, short cut with a beautiful blonde highlighted shine. It looks dimensional and natural!
I am so thrilled I found him! He is my Hairdresser for life!

I fortunately decided to try Santos Salon and have found that Alberto is professional, caring, experienced and through additional classes and courses he chose to take, is a premier colorist (Board Certified).  Alberto found that my baby-fine hair, died dark brown and blunt cut was not the most flattering. I now have blond/brown layered hair that brings complements from coworkers. I've done it all - extensions, long & stringy, too dark, too blond - but because Alberto listens to his customers and knows what to do for each customer, I have finally found my hairstylist. A best kept secret! Alberto Santos Salon is simply lovely. Not only is his technique excellent, he is personable and treats you individualistically. Although he loves color, he only cuts my hair and encourages me to direct him in what I want -- an absolutely refreshing concept.
